The Royal Resident A Judaic Novel by Rabbi Marcus Lehmann Translated from German

A powerful position at the royal court. Dangerous enemies. A Jewish family caught in the middle of political intrigue.

After helping secure the Polish throne for Augustus of Saxony, Rabbi Bermann (Behrend) Lehmann of Halberstadt is appointed royal resident to the king. His remarkable influence at court brings prestige and opportunity, but also attracts the resentment of powerful noblemen, princes, and monarchs determined to bring him down.

As political rivalries intensify and enemies plot against him and his family, Behrend Lehmann must navigate the dangerous world of European royalty while remaining steadfast in his Torah principles.

Based on the life of his own ancestor, Rabbi Meir (Marcus) Lehmann brings this dramatic true story to life in The Royal Resident. Carefully researched and filled with suspense, this historical account offers a fascinating glimpse into Jewish life, faith, and courage amid the intrigues of European royalty.
