Mr. Livingstone's Bookstore - Hanut HaSefarim shel Mar Livingstone by Mónica Gutiérrez Hebrew
Agnes Marti has come to London from Barcelona to fulfill her dream of working in a major museum. But as time goes by, it becomes clear to her that no major museum is looking for a young archaeologist. Agnes begins to despair of the city, until one particularly stormy evening she finds refuge from the rain in a unique bookstore: Moonlight Books.
The owner of the store, Edward Livingstone, is looking for an apprentice, and after a short conversation and a cup of hot Earl Grey, it is clear to both of them that fate has led her there.
Over time, Agnes learns to know and love the grumbling nature of the owner, a perennial candidate for the "Grumpiest Bookseller of the Year" award, the quirks of his regular customers, and the charm of the small bookstore.
The pleasant routine is disrupted when a valuable book disappears from the store, and Police Inspector John Lockwood arrives on the scene to handle the investigation. From the moment he and Agnes meet, it is clear that everything is about to change.
