The "Magic Words" series was created to serve learning to read in the early stages. The text is humorous and of interest to children, and at the same time it allows an explicit and systematic practice of the oral components without being an artificial text.
The series was created so that the children could engage in all the aspects that beginner readers should engage in, but in a way that would not require them to give up the knowledge they have about the language. At this stage, the children already know quite a bit about the spoken and written language to which they have been exposed in a variety of social-cultural contexts (on the street, at home, in the supermarket, on television, in the children's books they read in their ears, and more).

הסדרה "מילות קסמים" נוצרה כדי לשרת את לימוד הקריאה בשלבים המוקדמים. הטקסט הוא הומוריסטי ובעל עניין לילדים, ויחד עם זאת הוא מאפשר עיסוק מפורש ושיטתי ברכיבים השפתיים מבלי להיות טקסט מלאכותי.
הסדרה נוצרה כך שהילדים יוכלו לעסוק בכל ההיבטים שבהם צריכים לעסוק קוראים מתחילים, אך באופן שהם לא ידרשו לוותר על הידע שיש להם אודות השפה. בשלב זה הילדים כבר יודעים לא מעט על השפה הדבורה והכתובה אליה הם נחשפו במגוון של הקשרים חברתיים-תרבותיים (ברחוב, בבית, בסופרמרקט, בטלוויזיה, בספרי הילדים שקראו באוזניהם ועוד).
