Sephardic Purim traditions take center stage in this sweet story of a girl and her grandmother and a Purim play

"Maman joon, you'll really let me wear these?"

"It would make me happy if you wore them. They remind me of people and places I miss."

"Then I'll be a Persian princess!" said Raya.

Raya can't be in the Purim play this year--Purim will be no fun at all! But her grandmother, Maman joon, shares with Raya her sparkly scarves and Persian traditions. Together they discover how to make their American Purim uniquely Persian, delicious, and fun.
